Operations Specialist Logistics

About the Role

BDP International is seeking an Operations Specialist - Contract Logistics to join our team in Dammam. This full-time role is responsible for coordinating and supporting day-to-day Contract Logistics operations in Saudi Arabia. The specialist ensures customer orders, warehouse activities, inventory movements, and related logistics services are completed accurately, safely, and within agreed service levels.

Role Overview

The Operations Specialist supports the end-to-end operational flow, encompassing inbound receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, dispatch, and delivery coordination. A key aspect of the role involves maintaining accurate system records, comprehensive documentation, and precise operational reporting to ensure smooth and compliant logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily inbound and outbound Contract Logistics activities based on customer requirements.
• Monitor receiving, put away, picking, packing, staging, and dispatch activities to ensure accurate and timely order processing.
• Coordinate customer orders and monitor fulfillment through to delivery.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and investigation of discrepancies.
• Coordinate with transport providers for collections, deliveries, and shipment status updates.
• Ensure operational transactions, customer orders, and inventory movements are accurately recorded in WMS or other relevant systems.
• Prepare and maintain operational documentation, shipment records, and supporting documents.
• Monitor customer requirements, SLA performance, and operational exceptions, escalating issues as required.
• Respond to customer operational queries and provide timely updates on orders, inventory, and deliveries.
• Prepare operational reports covering order volumes, inventory, deliveries, productivity, and service performance.
• Support billing activities by ensuring operational data and supporting documentation are complete and accurate.
• Identify operational issues, support corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, health and safety standards, and applicable regulations.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field. The role requires a strong understanding of contract logistics operations and inventory management principles.

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, within a dynamic logistics environment.
