About the Role

Virtucruit is partnering with a leading mining company in Saudi Arabia to appoint a Safety Officer for their Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Department. This full-time role is based in Dammam and focuses on implementing, monitoring, and enforcing safety policies and procedures across all mining and operational activities. The Safety Officer will contribute to maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

The Safety Officer will be responsible for a range of duties focused on safety management, risk assessment, and compliance within the operational environment.

Monitor and enforce adherence to established safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports on findings.
Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors.
Perform risk assessments for operational activities and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
Ensure compliance with local laws, industry standards, and company safety requirements.
Support management in the implementation of HSE initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
Promote a strong safety culture across all levels of the organization.
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
Provide regular safety reports to management and recommend preventive measures.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a solid background in safety management, with specific experience in industrial or mining operations.

Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in safety management, with a preference for experience in mining or industrial operations.
Demonstrated experience in conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.

Required Skills

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge and practical skills in occupational health and safety.

Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Ability to develop and implement effective safety programs and procedures.
Proficiency in safety reporting, incident analysis, and risk assessment methodologies.
