About the Opportunity

Robayet For engineering Conselting Servieces is seeking a Senior Fire Protection design Engineer to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to the design, coordination, and review of fire protection systems for diverse industrial facilities and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of experience and a strong background in fire protection engineering.

Role Purpose and Key Focus Areas

The primary objective of this position is to ensure all fire protection designs comply with applicable local and international codes, standards, and authority requirements. The role involves close collaboration with architects, MEP engineers, consultants, and project teams to develop efficient and code-compliant fire protection solutions. Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in HCIS processes and requirements, as well as Saudi Civil Defense approval projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop fire protection systems for industrial facilities and commercial projects, including fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems, standpipe and hose reel systems, and clean agent and foam systems where applicable.
• Prepare fire protection design calculations, technical reports, specifications, and detailed design and shop drawings.
• Coordinate fire protection design with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines to ensure proper integration into the overall project.
• Review project requirements and ensure compliance with relevant local and international fire and life safety codes and standards.
• Support the preparation and submission of documents for HCIS and Civil Defense review and approval.
• Ensure designs meet HCIS regulations, Saudi Building Code requirements, Civil Defense requirements, and NFPA standards.
• Participate in design review meetings with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
• Provide technical support during project execution, including reviewing material submittals, RFIs, method statements, and contractor shop drawings.
• Conduct site visits when required to verify installation compliance with approved drawings and design intent.
• Assist in testing, commissioning, and final inspection activities related to fire protection systems.
• Support authority inspections, audits, and approval processes with relevant stakeholders.
• Stay current with developments in fire protection engineering, code updates, and industry best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience as a Fire Protection Engineer.
• Strong background in fire protection design for industrial facilities and commercial projects.
• Demonstrated experience with HCIS processes and requirements.
• Proven track record in Saudi Civil Defense approval projects.

Technical Acumen and Compliance

Candidates must possess a comprehensive understanding of relevant local and international fire and life safety codes and standards, including HCIS regulations, Saudi Building Code requirements, Civil Defense requirements, and NFPA standards. The role requires proficiency in preparing detailed design calculations, technical reports, specifications, and various engineering drawings for fire protection systems.
