Testing & Commissioning Engineer Saudi

About the Role

Linnk Group is seeking a Testing & Commissioning Engineer with over 10 years of experience to join our team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role focuses on the maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliable operation of GE FACTS systems, specifically SVC, FSC, and STATCOM installations.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of GE FACTS systems. This involves conducting both preventive and corrective maintenance, performing detailed fault analysis, and coordinating with OEM engineers for complex technical issues and system upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on GE FACTS systems.
• Troubleshoot components including thyristor valves, IGBTs, firing circuits, fiber optics, control/protection panels, cooling systems, reactors, capacitors, and harmonic filters.
• Monitor system alarms, events, and degraded operational modes.
• Conduct functional checks of control, protection, and interlock systems.
• Analyze system trips and faults, performing root cause analysis to identify issues.
• Maintain accurate records of spare parts, maintenance activities, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with GE OEM engineers for resolving complex technical issues and implementing system upgrades.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in FACTS maintenance, with at least 8 years specifically in this area.
• Strong experience with GE SVC, FSC & STATCOM systems.
• Good knowledge of HV/MV substations, power systems, electrical protection, and testing procedures.
• Possession of a valid SEC ID, a Saudi Driving License, and WPT C1/C2 certification.
