About PepsiCo and the Utility Technician Role

We are seeking a Utility Technician to join our full-time team in Dammam, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia. This role requires 2-5 years of relevant industrial experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute assigned mechanical maintenance tasks and work orders, including corrective, preventive, and engineering-related activities, ensuring safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness within given timeframes.
  • Identify root causes of major and recurring technical problems and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Respond to all technical issues within the assigned area, ensuring proper actions are identified and taken, including identifying required spare parts.
  • Operate all equipment related to utility sections and perform daily parameter readings and monitoring as required.
  • Execute maintenance schedules and plans to maintain plant equipment according to engineering standards, aiming to achieve and maintain line availability and equipment readiness.
  • Ensure proper controls for hazards and risks are in place, contributing to the achievement of EHS targets and adherence to EHS and QFS policies.
  • Supervise contracted labor during maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety and company standards.
  • Support initiatives to improve production processes, quality, productivity, safety, and cost reduction in coordination with production personnel.
  • Contribute to the execution of the site Maintenance and Reliability (M&R) Strategy, including PEMM and MIAP tools, and support the implementation of Reliability Engineering and Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
  • Maintain and implement AIB standards and ensure accurate SAP-PM records and updates for all assigned work orders.
  • Provide daily reports on all shift activities and participate in Maintenance forum meetings to share performance, best practices, and challenges.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years of industrial experience.
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical equipment maintenance, including thermal and hydraulic machines, HVAC systems, rotating and conveying mechanisms, and equipment troubleshooting.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficiency in mechanical safety standards, maintenance planning and execution systems, and operating and automation systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), SAP, Quality Food Safety (QFS), and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities and an analytical mindset.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential for small projects.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  • Basic electromechanical work skills and computer literacy (MS Office).
