The Assistant Chef Role

The Assistant Chef is a full-time, on-site position located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role provides essential support to the Head Chef in all aspects of daily kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating according to established recipes and standards.
Help maintain kitchen cleanliness and organize storage areas.
Ensure proper handling and rotation of ingredients to minimize waste and maintain quality.
Assist with menu execution and coordinate effectively with service staff to meet timing and quality requirements.
Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
Contribute to a collaborative team environment by communicating effectively and supporting continuous improvement in kitchen processes.

Qualifications and Skills

Strong food preparation and cooking skills, including basic knife skills and familiarity with standard kitchen equipment.
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and compliance with local health regulations.
Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and quality standards with meticulous attention to detail.
Good time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with chefs, kitchen staff, and service teams.
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen duties safely.
Previous experience in a professional kitchen or culinary training is preferred.
Willingness to learn, adapt to operational needs, and actively participate in on-the-job training and development.
