Attendant Laundry

About the Role

W Hotels is seeking an Attendant Laundry to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves operating and controlling laundry machinery, ensuring the cleanliness and proper handling of all items, and maintaining a high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and control washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint filters.
• Identify stained or damaged items and determine appropriate treatment, rewashing, or discarding.
• Inspect the cleanliness of items from machines and place them in clean linen carts.
• Program dryer time and temperature according to fabric types.
• Remove lint and debris from dryer and dry cleaning machine filters after each load.
• Fold clean items to the designated size, either manually or using a folding machine.
• Maintain accurate records of washed and ironed items.

Workplace Conduct and Safety

• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional.
• Maintain the privacy of company proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Support co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect to achieve common goals.
• Meet quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 25 pounds ( kg) without assistance.
• Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for the entire work shift.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Navigate over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and stairs, and ascend/descend stairs and/or service ramps.

Qualifications and Experience

• No high school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate is required.
• No related work experience is required, making this an ideal opportunity for individuals with 0-1 years of experience.
• No supervisory experience or specific license/certification is required for this role.
