About the Role

Imploy is seeking a Business Development Director to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to driving sustainable revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, expanding into new markets, and leading enterprise sales initiatives. The Director will oversee the entire business development lifecycle, from market intelligence and opportunity identification to contract negotiation and long-term account growth.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's business development strategy in alignment with corporate objectives, identifying new revenue streams and market opportunities.
  • Build annual and quarterly business development plans, analyzing industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Identify, qualify, and establish strategic partnerships with technology providers, government entities, universities, system integrators, distributors, and channel partners.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements, commercial terms, and develop joint go-to-market initiatives.
  • Generate and manage enterprise sales opportunities, building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Lead complex B2B sales cycles from prospecting through contract execution, conducting executive presentations and solution demonstrations.
  • Prepare commercial proposals, RFP/RFI responses, business cases, and negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements.
  • Develop strategic account plans for key customers, identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities to foster long-term relationships.
  • Evaluate opportunities for regional and international expansion, conducting market entry assessments and competitive analysis.
  • Maintain an accurate and qualified sales pipeline using CRM platforms, forecasting revenue and pipeline performance.
  • Lead the development of commercial proposals and executive presentations, coordinating with Product, Technical, Finance, and Legal teams.

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop Business Development Managers and Account Executives, establishing team KPIs and performance targets.
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews and coaching sessions, fostering a high-performance, customer-focused sales culture.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to generate qualified leads and with Product teams to communicate customer and market requirements.
  • Partner with Customer Success to ensure successful onboarding and account growth, and coordinate with Finance and Legal throughout commercial negotiations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, enterprise sales, or a related commercial leadership role.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in strategic thinking, commercial leadership, relationship management, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and expanding market presence.
