The Role of Business Intelligence Engineer

The Business Intelligence Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing robust BI solutions, with a specific focus on Qlik and Qlik Sense platforms. This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand diverse data needs and translate them into actionable reports, dashboards, and analytical applications that support data-driven decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Qlik and Qlik Sense dashboards and reports to meet defined user requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements for BI solutions.
• Extract, clean, and organize raw data from multiple sources to transform it into meaningful insights.
• Implement data models that facilitate efficient querying and reporting.
• Optimize the performance of existing dashboards and reports, ensuring they are user-friendly and accessible.
• Stay informed on best practices and advancements in BI technologies and Qlik tools.
• Provide training and support to users to enhance their understanding of BI tools and improve data literacy.
• Work with IT to ensure data integrity, security, and adherence to proper governance protocols.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Engineer, specifically with Qlik and Qlik Sense.
• Strong proficiency in data visualization and reporting using Qlik tools.
• Experience with SQL and data extraction from relational databases.
• Proficiency in data modeling and ETL processes.

Essential Skills and Competencies

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
