About the Role
Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) for a full-time position in Riyadh Province, Riyadh. This role serves as the most senior clinical executive, responsible for enterprise clinical strategy, medical governance, quality, patient and athlete safety, and clinical standards across all QHC healthcare assets. The CCO reports to the Chief Executive Officer and provides clinical leadership, sets standards, ensures assurance, and offers medical advisory authority.
Role Purpose and Context
The Chief Clinical Officer ensures that clinical delivery across all QHC healthcare assets adheres to QHC’s clinical and wellness standards, quality expectations, and readiness requirements, reflecting international evidence-based practice and applicable Saudi regulatory requirements. As a member of the QHC executive leadership team, the CCO translates Kingdom Vision 2030 and Qiddiya’s healthcare ambitions into governed, accountable practice, championing patient and athlete safety, clinical research, and academic collaboration, aiming to position QHC as a regionally recognized center of clinical excellence.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide overall clinical leadership and set the enterprise clinical strategy for QHC across all service lines, aligning with QIC and Vision 2030 healthcare transformation objectives.
- Serve as the principal clinical voice on the executive leadership team, advising the CEO/MD and the Board and Medical Advisory Committee on clinical strategy, service development, clinical risk, and medical policy.
- Establish QHC’s overarching clinical governance and quality framework, setting expectations for patient and athlete safety, clinical quality, risk, and compliance across all healthcare assets.
- Define, monitor, and report enterprise clinical KPIs and quality dashboards for clinical partnerships or assets under direct operation of QHC.
- Set QHC’s enterprise clinical excellence, safety, and wellness standards across all healthcare assets, aligned with evidence-based international practice and applicable Saudi regulatory requirements.
- Develop and continuously review clinical policies, evidence-based care pathways, treatment protocols, and standard operating procedures.
- Provide clinical and wellness advisory support to all healthcare assets, offering input into service models, clinical readiness requirements, quality expectations, and relevant performance measures.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical partnerships and support research, innovation, and academic collaboration initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership experience in setting enterprise clinical standards, quality expectations, and governance requirements.
- Experience in translating strategic visions into accountable clinical practice.
- Familiarity with international evidence-based practice and Saudi regulatory requirements in healthcare.
Internal and External Interfaces
Key internal interfaces include the CEO, executive leadership team, healthcare asset leaders, quality and patient safety teams, clinical operations, digital health, legal and compliance, talent acquisition, and partnership teams. Key external interfaces include regulators, accreditation bodies, clinical partners, academic institutions, sports federations, professional teams, and other strategic healthcare partners.
Role Success Metrics
Success in this role will be measured by the effective design and deployment of all QHC healthcare assets, engagement of QHC clinical partnerships, achievement of clinical readiness milestones, compliance with applicable Saudi regulatory and accreditation requirements, adoption of approved clinical standards and care pathways, strength of clinical partner engagement, and sustained improvement in patient and athlete safety, quality, and cost indicators through value-based care.
