Civil Engineer

About the Role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves supervising and coordinating construction activities for a high-rise building project. The successful candidate will ensure that all civil and structural works adhere to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities for high-rise building works.
• Review approved architectural, structural, and civil drawings prior to execution.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, architects, MEP engineers, and project management teams.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with the approved project schedule.
• Inspect reinforcement, formwork, concrete placement, curing, and post-concrete activities.
• Ensure construction is carried out in accordance with approved method statements and inspection test plans.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Coordinate material inspections, testing, and approvals.
• Verify quantities and assist with measurement, valuation, and payment certification.
• Identify site issues, discrepancies, and technical problems, and recommend suitable solutions.
• Raise and follow up on Requests for Inspection, RFIs, site instructions, and nonconformance reports.
• Ensure proper implementation of quality control and quality assurance procedures.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and workmanship.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports, drawings, and documentation.
• Assist with project handover, snagging, testing, commissioning, and as-built documentation.
• Participate in coordination and progress meetings.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8-10 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably with experience in high-rise building projects.
• Strong understanding of civil and structural works, construction methods, and quality standards.
• Proficiency in reviewing architectural, structural, and civil drawings.
