Civil Inspector Water Transmission

About the Role

WSP is seeking a Civil Inspector-Water Transmission to manage and oversee civil engineering activities on-site for water transmission and water network projects. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and focuses on ensuring compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all civil activities and interfacing from project inception to completion.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, design specifications, applicable codes, and regulatory requirements to maintain quality and safety standards.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgetary constraints.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, architects, and regulatory agencies.
• Report regularly on project progress to senior management.

Site Monitoring and Quality Assurance

• Closely monitor, guide, and regulate interfacing issues between contractors to prevent rework.
• Liaise with clients to resolve construction design and other bottlenecks while maintaining and controlling all quality and safety functions.
• Conduct regular inspections and site visits to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Address any site-related issues promptly, providing technical guidance and solutions as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and environmental standards.
• Investigate and report any safety incidents or near misses.

Required Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated hands-on experience in Estimation, Constructability Review, and Construction Management.
• Proficiency with applicable codes, local regulations, and industry standards relevant to civil engineering and water transmission projects.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to optimize project outcomes and mitigate risks.
