Civil Structural Engineer

About the Role

Dar Al Riyadh Consultants is seeking a Civil Structural Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a professional with extensive experience in civil and structural engineering, focusing on a variety of building projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise civil and structural works across diverse projects including villas, townhouses, apartments, commercial buildings, and associated amenities.
• Review structural shop drawings, calculations, material submittals, and method statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct inspections of excavation, foundations, reinforced concrete, structural steel, waterproofing, and related civil works.
• Ensure all works adhere to approved designs, specifications, the Saudi Building Code, and established quality requirements.
• Resolve structural coordination issues and address site discrepancies effectively.
• Monitor testing, inspections, non-conformance report (NCR) closure, and corrective works.
• Support snagging processes, as-built drawing reviews, and structural handover procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil and structural engineering.
• Demonstrated experience on large-scale mixed-use residential and commercial developments.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundations, waterproofing, and construction quality assurance.
• Ability to review structural drawings, calculations, Requests for Information (RFIs), and technical submittals.
• Knowledge of the Saudi Building Code (SBC), American Concrete Institute (ACI) standards, American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) standards, and other relevant international standards.
• Valid Saudi Council of Engineers registration is mandatory.

Work Environment

This role is based in Riyadh and operates on a full-time basis within a professional consulting environment. The position involves site supervision and coordination across various project types.
