The Commie II Role

The Commie II is a full-time position responsible for essential kitchen operations, focusing on food preparation, quality assurance, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. This role requires strict adherence to established recipes, quality standards, and company procedures to ensure consistent culinary excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing.
  • Cook and prepare food items according to specified recipes, quality standards, presentation guidelines, and food preparation checklists.
  • Operate various kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor food quality throughout the preparation process and test foods to ensure they are cooked sufficiently.
  • Set up and break down the workstation, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Serve food in proper portions using appropriate receptacles.
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment regularly.

Operational Standards and Physical Demands

  • Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management.
  • Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, upholding confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, fostering positive working relationships and supporting team goals.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards in all tasks.
  • Perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and lifting objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Complete safety training and certifications as required.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.
  • License or Certification: None specified.
