About the Communications & Public Affairs Partner Role

Roche is seeking a full-time Communications & Public Affairs Partner to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is designed for professionals with 0-1 years of experience and will serve as a strategic catalyst for Roche Diagnostics Saudi Arabia, leading both internal and external communications, public affairs, and reputation management.

Role Context and Strategic Impact

The Communications & Public Affairs Partner will report directly to the country's General Manager and collaborate closely with the Middle East Communications and Public Affairs Head. A primary focus of this position involves internal engagement, change management, and internal events, designing experiences that align, inspire, and mobilize personnel. The role serves as a strategic partner to the Saudi Lead Team, enabling their leadership agenda, shaping culture, and guiding the affiliate through transformational journeys. This position also involves regular collaboration with regional and global colleagues, contributing to broader Middle East communication initiatives due to Roche's networked approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the General Manager and the Saudi Lead Team, translating leadership vision and business priorities into actionable communication strategies.
  • Design, implement, and lead internal communication and change management strategies to support organizational transformations, cultural shifts, and business evolutions.
  • Conceive, plan, and execute key internal events, town halls, and engagement initiatives that foster collaboration and boost employee morale.
  • Develop effective external positioning strategies to enhance the reputation of Roche Diagnostics, its innovative products, and its value within the Saudi healthcare ecosystem.
  • Partner with and coach the affiliate’s media spokespersons and leadership team for public engagements, interviews, and executive positioning.
  • Collaborate closely with the Middle East Regional Communications Lead to align national strategies with regional internal engagement and external positioning frameworks.
  • Direct and manage partner agencies, event organizers, and creative vendors to ensure seamless, high-quality, and timely delivery of projects.

Required Skills and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience and demonstrate the following capabilities:

  • Strategic Advisory: Ability to influence, guide, and challenge senior leaders, earning a seat at the table as a strategic communication partner.
  • Change Advocacy: Proven capability to guide organizations through change with empathy, clarity, and impactful storytelling.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proactive engagement with diverse internal and external stakeholders to co-create solutions and build high-trust relationships.
  • Network Integration: Actively leaning into the broader Roche network, sharing best practices, and repurposing successful initiatives.
