About the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Consultant Dermatology to provide specialized care within its ICC physical clinic in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This part-time, in-person role focuses on evaluating, diagnosing, and managing a broad range of acute and chronic dermatological conditions, ensuring patient-centered care and continuity of service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive, in-person dermatology care during scheduled part-time clinic sessions, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up for acute and chronic conditions.
  • Conduct thorough clinical evaluations, including history taking, full skin examinations, and review of laboratory and histopathology findings.
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based management plans, including medication management, minor in-clinic procedures, and referrals for biopsy, imaging, or specialist input.
  • Manage common dermatology conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin and nail infections, and benign skin lesions, ensuring care coordination with the full-time clinical team.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide integrated, patient-centered care.
  • Promote skin health through preventive counseling, including sun protection and skin cancer awareness, timely referrals, and chronic disease management.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers, providing clear guidance on diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards, maintaining accurate and timely medical documentation for all encounters.
  • Contribute to clinical governance through participation in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and regulatory compliance programs.

Clinical Documentation and EHR Proficiency

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) in compliance with organizational policies and data privacy regulations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the clinic's EHR system to ensure efficient and well-documented consultations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and adopt system enhancements to optimize performance and user experience.

Patient Safety and Satisfaction

  • Uphold the highest standards of patient safety by delivering evidence-based care and adhering to established clinical safety protocols.
  • Identify, report, and escalate patient safety risks, incidents, and quality concerns according to organizational policies.
  • Counsel patients and caregivers on diagnoses, treatment plans, medication use, potential adverse effects, and follow-up care.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered consultations through effective communication, comprehensive clinical assessment, and shared decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in dermatology.
  • Current knowledge of evidence-based dermatology practice and in-clinic regulations.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
