Dermatology Consultant

About the Role

Nahdi Medical Co. is seeking a Dermatology Consultant to join their team in Makkah, Makkah Region. This full-time role involves diagnosing and treating dermatological conditions, examining patients, taking medical histories, and prescribing medications. The consultant will also be responsible for ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests, and counseling patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients and document findings.
• Design and execute patient care plans.
• Educate patients on their health condition, required investigations, treatment options, medication use, health promotion, and disease prevention.
• Order and review results of patient investigations.
• Prescribe medications for patients.
• Fulfill obligations related to patient records.
• Adhere to all Nahdi Care Clinics (NCC) Policies and Procedures (P&P), Bylaws Strategic Plan, Rules & Regulation, and the mission, vision goals, and practice guidelines in NCC.
• Actively participate in assigned NCC Committees and Task Forces.
• Adhere to CBAHI standards of care.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments, local agencies, vendors, patients, and their families.
• Complete fire safety requirements.
• Comply with clinical and departmental structure standards, including attendance.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and ensure Clinical, MOH, and CBAHI quality Standards and Regulations are met.
• Participate in the continuous professional development of junior staff.
• Integrate population factors of heritage, environment, and disease prevalence into patient care.
• Develop, participate, and support an active Continuing Medical Education program for the Section, Department, or Clinical as assigned.

Specialty Tasks

• Perform specific privileges based on training, experience, skills, and Saudi health council guidelines.
• Undertake additional tasks based on specialty and clinical privileges.

Coaching and Knowledge Sharing

• Provide second opinions for specialists and senior specialists to ensure knowledge sharing and adherence to guidelines and best practices.
• Support the Medical Director, if needed, in the performance management process for specialists and senior specialists by providing objective evaluations of their performance and potential.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should have 5-10 years of relevant experience. Specific privileges will be based on training, experience, and skills in accordance with Saudi health council guidelines.

Work Environment and Schedule

This role is based indoors 100% of the time. The work schedule consists of 6 working days per week with 1 day off, totaling 8 net working hours per day according to a shift schedule approved by the head of the department.
