About the Role

BEC Arabia is seeking a highly skilled Cost Control - Civil Engineer to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is integral to supporting the financial oversight of civil construction works, ensuring projects adhere to budgetary guidelines and financial objectives.

Role Purpose and Scope

The primary purpose of this role is to manage and monitor project costs effectively throughout the lifecycle of civil construction projects. The Cost Control - Civil Engineer will be responsible for implementing robust cost control measures, analyzing financial data, and providing critical insights to project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project cost control for civil construction works, including comprehensive budget monitoring and cost tracking.
• Conduct cost-to-complete analysis to forecast project expenditures and identify potential variances.
• Review variation costs and assess their financial impact on project budgets.
• Provide support for subcontractor payment processes, ensuring alignment with project budgets and contractual terms.
• Prepare and submit periodic cost reports, offering clear and accurate financial status updates to management.

Inter-Departmental Coordination and Risk Management

• Coordinate effectively with various internal departments, including project teams, planning, procurement, commercial, and finance.
• Ensure accurate cost visibility across all projects and proactively identify potential cost risks to facilitate timely mitigation strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess a strong background in civil engineering with specialized experience in cost control. A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required, demonstrating a proven ability to manage and control costs within large-scale construction projects.
