About the DCN Expert Role

Norconsult Telematics is seeking a DCN Expert for a contract position in Riyadh. This role requires a qualified technical engineer with a proven track record in managing large projects, focusing on network and information systems. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience across design, implementation, troubleshooting, support, and integrations within telecommunications environments, supported by relevant industry certifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and propose Data Center network solutions utilizing leaf-spine architectures and network overlays.
• Develop design guidelines and recommend network improvements for supported entities.
• Collaborate with the Sales Team to respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Quotations (RFQs).
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of solutions, products, and services within the telecommunications and networking domain.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in L2/L3 networking design and implementation, with a specific focus on Data Center solutions.
• Network Industry Certification, such as CCIE (Data Center), is preferred, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Strong experience with routing and switching protocols, including L2/L3 fundamentals.
• Recent, practical experience in leaf-spine architecture design.

Technical Knowledge Areas

• Proficiency in Ethernet, RSTP/MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and eBGP.
• Good understanding of VxLAN and Multicast.
• Familiarity with Spanning Tree protocols.
• Experience with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) is preferred.
• Previous experience in building network automation is preferred.

Work Context

This is a contract role based in Riyadh. The position requires the ability to work effectively within a project-driven environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Applicants must be fluent in both Arabic and English.
