Webook (******** is Saudi Arabia's leading event ticketing and experience booking platform, recognized for its technology, features, agility, and revenue. The platform serves major events across the Kingdom, with sales surpassing 2 billion. We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time role focuses on enhancing the scalability, robustness, and automation of our systems, supporting the development of innovative products in the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities

• Improve the scalability, robustness, and automation of tools and processes, while expanding capabilities for new features.
• Manage and optimize the deployment of production systems.
• Ensure support tools facilitate continuous integration, testing, and production deployment.
• Implement strategic solutions to maintain systems at the forefront of technology.
• Contribute to the technology stack, including web development, API development, database communication, performance, and security measures.
• Ensure systems are operational, visible, and designed for auto-recovery.
• Oversee end-to-end development and production system operations, including maintenance, monitoring (application, system, log), notification, automation, and backend operations.
• Drive improvements in system performance and stability.
• Propose new technologies and tools to enhance development, testing, and production operations.
• Collaborate with various cross-functional teams, including project, product, tech, and QA teams.
• Continuously refine DevOps tools, processes, and procedures.
• Build, maintain, and scale infrastructure for Production, QA, and Development environments.
• Develop and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) systems.
• Deploy automation solutions in public cloud environments such as AWS.
• Participate in the ongoing design, implementation, and maintenance of systems and tools across our cloud stack.
• Work closely with Development and QA teams to ensure end-to-end quality.
• Create and maintain infrastructure documentation.
• Liaise with third-party vendors to resolve infrastructure issues.
• Build and maintain large-scale software products, delivering high uptime Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications.
• Proactively manage tasks, projects, and issues.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience managing high-traffic production systems, including troubleshooting, automation, and regular operations.
• Familiarity with web development technologies and their build/deployment processes.
• Proficiency with Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) mechanisms.
• Strong understanding of SaaS, Cloud Infrastructure, and other enterprise technologies.
• Experience with container orchestration.
• Strong scripting skills.
• Solid knowledge of Unix-based systems.
• Experience with version control systems.
• Proficiency with deployment and configuration tools.
• Familiarity with micro-service architecture, including distributed systems concepts and principles.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer.
• Experience in GCP (Google Cloud Platform) – preferred.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional – preferred.
• Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect – preferred.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, where you will collaborate with diverse teams including project, product, tech, and QA. The role involves working within a dynamic environment focused on cutting-edge technology and large-scale event platforms.
