About the Role

Hill International, Inc. is seeking an Engineer - Risk Management to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves developing and implementing risk management strategies to ensure the successful delivery of infrastructure projects. The Engineer will collaborate closely with project teams to identify potential risks, evaluate their impact, and formulate mitigation plans, playing a key role in minimizing project delays and cost overruns.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough risk assessments for infrastructure projects, identifying potential hazards, their likelihood, and impact.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk register, tracking and prioritizing risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Create and implement risk management plans, including contingency strategies and mitigation measures.
Monitor and analyze project performance, identifying emerging risks and taking proactive measures to address them.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate effective risk management practices into project planning and execution.
Conduct regular risk reviews and provide risk reports to senior management, highlighting key risks and proposed actions.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in risk management, incorporating new methodologies into processes.
Provide risk management training and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of risk awareness and proactive risk management.
Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure risk management practices align with quality standards and requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, preferably within the infrastructure or construction industry.
Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and tools, including qualitative and quantitative risk analysis techniques.
Experience in developing and implementing risk management plans, including risk response strategies.
Proficiency in using risk management software and tools, such as Microsoft Excel, Risk Register, or similar platforms.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to risk management, such as ISO 31000.

Required Skills

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify complex risks and develop effective solutions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse project teams.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of risk management deliverables.
