About the Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Field Services Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is responsible for the onsite installation, preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration of motors and variable speed drive systems and equipment. The role also involves providing technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, commissioning, refurbishment, startup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of Variable Speed Drives (VSD) systems (VSI, Static Var Compensation, Static Frequency Controllers), synchronous and induction motors, generators, excitation, and AVR systems.
• Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services.
• Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customer sites.
• Write technical reports, order materials, secure quotations, and prepare job status reports, reports to customers, time sheets, and expense sheets on a complete, timely, and thorough basis.
• Provide leadership and technical direction to skilled labor performing work on customer sites.
• Maintain a strong safety mindset to ensure executed work reflects technical requirements within GE safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and as a reference for future outages.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• The legal right to work in KSA without company sponsorship or time restrictions.

Work Environment and Travel

• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time, as required.
