About the Role

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) is seeking a Firefighting Lead Specialist to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh. This full-time position is for an experienced professional capable of working with general directions, focusing on developing solutions to challenges requiring analysis and addressing escalated issues from junior levels. The role involves complex operational activities aimed at enhancing firefighting safety across ZATCA facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and benchmark studies to identify best practices and market trends in firefighting to upgrade ZATCA’s standards and systems.
  • Develop Fire Protection and Fire Fighting general guidelines based on local and international standards to consolidate practices across all ZATCA facilities.
  • Conduct field studies to assess ZATCA’s needs in firefighting countermeasures and protection systems, identifying necessary corrective actions.
  • Plan and implement firefighting awareness sessions and training programs tailored for ZATCA employees to enhance awareness and reduce potential incidents.
  • Assess internal capabilities and resources to identify needs for outsourced service providers, ensuring comprehensive coverage of firefighting activities.
  • Initiate firefighting program implementation by scheduling activities and ensuring involvement of all relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct fire drills and simulation activities based on a set schedule to evaluate site evacuation effectiveness and personnel first response.
  • Monitor and analyze fire incidents and accidents, investigating causes to implement preventive and corrective measures.
  • Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of firefighting program implementation at all ZATCA facilities regularly.
  • Monitor the performance of outsourced service providers to ensure proper activity implementation.
  • Follow all relevant policies, processes, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support junior team members in solving escalated problems and provide guidance.
  • Escalate complex problems to ensure proper resolution.
  • Train junior staff on job activities to facilitate knowledge transfer.
  • Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign responsibility, and monitor the workflow of junior staff.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science or Public Health, or an equivalent field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience range of 2-5 years is required for this role.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, within the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority. The role involves working with various stakeholders and outsourced service providers to maintain and improve firefighting safety standards.
