FOREMAN MAINTENANCE

About the Role

Alfanar is seeking a Foreman Maintenance to lead a maintenance team in Riyadh. This full-time role is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and facilities through effective maintenance practices. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Job Purpose

The Maintenance Foreman leads the maintenance team to ensure the efficient operation of machinery and facilities. This involves overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance activities, managing inventory, and minimizing operational downtime. The role requires collaboration with other departments to support production goals and enhance equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate the maintenance team (technicians, electricians, mechanics) to ensure timely task completion.
• Assign daily tasks and provide training on maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and equipment handling.
• Develop and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns and extend equipment longevity.
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Oversee the maintenance of production equipment (*, furnaces, mills, presses) and factory infrastructure (*, utilities, HVAC, electrical systems).
• Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring essential components are stocked and ordering replacements as needed.
• Track equipment performance and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Prepare reports for upper management detailing tasks, downtime, costs, and recurring issues.
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and implement equipment upgrades.

Accountabilities and Expectations

• Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates, ensuring fair task distribution to maintain morale and motivation.
• Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets according to delivery schedules.
• Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time parameters.
• Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and execution of planned tasks.
• Resolve operational problems and escalate complex issues as necessary.
• Ensure quality requirements are met, including the development of effective quality control processes and specifications.
• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities.
• Comply with relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within the defined area of work.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a technical team.
• Strong understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance principles.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the Alfanar organization. The role involves leading a team in a dynamic industrial environment.
