The Opportunity: Full Stack Software Engineer

Hala is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join its engineering team in Riyadh. This full-time role emphasizes expertise in React for front-end development and .NET / C# for back-end services. The ideal candidate will contribute to building modern, scalable, and maintainable web applications within a fast-paced fintech environment where reliability, performance, security, and clean engineering practices are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain modern web applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Create reusable, scalable, and maintainable React components.
Implement state management and data-fetching patterns with tools such as Redux, React Query, Zustand, or Context API.
Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and various backend services.
Build, maintain, and enhance backend services using .NET / C#.
Design and implement APIs using **** Core.
Work with relational databases including PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, QA, and other Engineering teams.
Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production and non-production issues across front-end and backend layers.
Ensure high standards of performance, security, reliability, accessibility, and maintainability.
Write clean, testable, and well-structured code.
Adhere to engineering best practices for Git, pull requests, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and documentation.
Support continuous improvement of engineering standards, processes, and delivery quality.

Qualifications and Experience

Hands-on experience with React and modern front-end development.
Strong knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive UI development.
Demonstrated experience building applications with **** Core / .NET.
Strong knowledge of C# and object-oriented programming.
Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
Good understanding of front-end architecture, component design, hooks, forms, routing, validation, and API integration.
Experience with databases and SQL fundamentals.
Familiarity with Entity Framework Core, Dapper, or similar ORM/data access patterns is an advantage.
Experience with unit testing and integration testing on both front-end and backend is preferred.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, containers, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment practices is an advantage.
Good understanding of web performance, browser behavior, authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills, an ownership mindset, and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Previous experience in fintech, banking, payments, wallets, cards, or financial platforms is a significant advantage.
