The Opportunity: General Manager

CarboSol is seeking a General Manager to lead and expand its operations in Riyadh. This full-time role involves owning the P&L, leading a multidisciplinary team, and converting the existing pipeline into delivered projects. The General Manager will be responsible for growing CarboSol into a prominent carbon project developer in Saudi Arabia, reporting directly to the Founding Partners. The role offers a clear mandate to shape the operating model rather than inheriting an existing one.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive business growth, focusing on large accounts across sectors including mining, utilities, aviation, real estate, waste, and government.
• Manage profitability, including pricing strategies, commercial terms, margins, cash flow, and the annual financial plan.
• Oversee operations, including pipeline management, delivery oversight, risk reviews, and quality control for all client and registry submissions.
• Lead team development, including recruiting, developing, and retaining a high-performing team of consultants and specialists.
• Cultivate relationships with clients, RVCMC, regulators, registries, VVBs, partners, and investors.
• Enhance market position through proposals, framework development, and strategic partnerships.

Required Expertise and Qualifications

Candidates should possess over 10 years of relevant experience and demonstrate expertise in the following areas:

• Voluntary carbon market standards and project issuance processes (Verra VCS, Gold Standard, *******, CORSIA).
• Commercial aspects of carbon credits, including offtake agreements, pricing mechanisms, and revenue models.
• Fundamentals of GHG accounting.
• Understanding of the Saudi market landscape, including RVCMC and NCEC.

Compensation and Benefits

CarboSol offers a competitive base salary for this role, complemented by a performance bonus directly tied to revenue, margin, and issuance milestones.
