The company has extensive experience in transportation, control and communication systems, and infrastructure projects. Operating in Saudi Arabia for several years, SICE has delivered specialized intelligent transportation projects, including a key electric bus transportation system at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) in Riyadh. This project involved the transportation, control, and communication systems, electric buses, stations, and a control center, with SICE also responsible for the operation and maintenance of these systems.

The Role

SICE is seeking an Information Technology Manager to oversee the IT & Communications Team and manage the operation and maintenance of IT and communication systems for its projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on ensuring the stable, secure, and efficient operation of critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the IT & Communications Team, overseeing daily activities and performance.
• Manage the operation and maintenance of PMS IT & Communications systems, including stations, traffic intersections, the Control Centre, communication networks, and on-board systems.
• Ensure stable, secure, and efficient operation of the IT and communications infrastructure across the project.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor work orders and maintenance activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time and according to required standards.
• Develop and implement the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) program to minimize system failures and downtime.
• Operate and maintain IT and network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, servers, antivirus systems, wireless equipment, cameras, and antennas.
• Monitor the PMS network infrastructure and ensure continuous availability and proper system performance.
• Establish and implement IT security strategies to protect the project's IT and communications infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot technical problems, identify root causes, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Prepare and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly reports, and regularly update the Project Manager on work progress, workload, and technical issues.
• Manage materials, spare parts, equipment, and procurement requirements necessary for maintenance and operational activities.
• Evaluate existing systems and equipment, identify deficiencies, and recommend improvements, upgrades, or replacements.
• Ensure compliance with technical standards, company procedures, safety requirements, and fire safety regulations.
• Manage and develop the IT & Communications team, including technical and safety training, staff scheduling, leave planning, and ensuring adequate trained personnel are available.
• Manage service and maintenance requests through MAXIMO, maintain accurate technical documentation, and ensure proper follow-up and closure of assigned tasks.

Required Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in Information Technology management or a related field.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focusing on the operation and maintenance of intelligent transportation systems within a university campus setting.
