About the Interior Design Specialist Role

IKEA Alsulaiman is seeking a full-time Interior Design Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and focuses on enhancing the customer experience through compelling visual merchandising and home furnishing solutions that align with the IKEA brand identity.

Role Purpose and Impact

The Interior Design Specialist is responsible for inspiring and engaging visitors by presenting the IKEA home furnishing offer through strong visual impressions that exceed customer expectations. This position plays a key role in strengthening the IKEA brand and converting more visitors into customers. The specialist will combine IKEA Commercial Plans with national and local strategies to ensure the brand's relevance, attractiveness, and competitiveness in the local market, contributing to maximized sales and long-term profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Create inspiring and functional home furnishing solutions across various display areas, including room settings, homes, vignettes, and sales support areas, reflecting the IKEA identity.
• Gather insights from home visits and customer needs, translating them into locally relevant, functional, aesthetic, and commercial home furnishing solutions.
• Contribute to the Showroom Matrix, ensuring a diverse range of styles, living situations, and price levels with distinct visual impressions.
• Ensure high quality, simplicity, efficiency, and cost-consciousness in planning and implementing range presentation solutions, utilizing IKEA global tools and best practices.
• Utilize IKEA Revit software, libraries, and templates to complete commercial planning and compilation packages within agreed timelines.
• Stay updated on home furnishing, retail, and market trends, contributing creative ideas during workshops and planning sessions.
• Contribute to the department action plan with initiatives that support business growth, sales, and long-term profitability.
• Work closely with the Commercial & Interior (Com&In) team and other functions to execute agreed plans and identify commercial opportunities.
• Understand the financial impact of actions and ensure efficient resource utilization.
• Maintain a strong customer focus while working on the shop floor, minimizing disruption, and ensuring safety and a positive visual impression at all times.

• Good sense of aesthetics, functionality, and commercial presentation.
