About the Role: Junior Automation Specialist

Bavarian Capital is expanding its technical capabilities to support a major investment group in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We are seeking a Junior Automation Specialist to join our team. This full-time, remote position is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are eager to contribute to the modernization of digital systems for data processing and reporting.

Role Overview and Contribution

As a Junior Automation Specialist, you will work within our technical operations team to identify manual tasks suitable for improvement through scripting and software integration. This entry-level role provides an opportunity to learn and apply automation tools to real-world financial data and investment reporting. Your focus will be on enhancing reliability and reducing errors in daily operations, ensuring that our data serves as a trusted foundation for decision-making. Operating as a fully remote firm, Bavarian Capital offers autonomy in managing daily tasks while maintaining regular communication with colleagues through digital channels.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the design and deployment of basic automation scripts for data entry and information extraction.
Monitor existing workflows to ensure correct operation and address minor errors during processing.
Help document new automated processes to facilitate understanding and adherence to system logic by team members.
Coordinate with the data team to identify manual bottlenecks and propose technical improvements using automation.
Test new automation tools in a controlled environment prior to deployment in production systems.
Update and maintain technical documentation to reflect changes in system logic or data sources.
Participate in regular team review meetings to discuss the performance of the current automation suite.
Support the transition of legacy spreadsheets into more durable and automated database formats.
Maintain a high standard of data integrity through routine checks on automated outputs.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience and demonstrate the following:

A fundamental understanding of scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript, acquired through academic studies or personal projects.
Familiarity with basic database structures and the ability to retrieve information using SQL.
A methodical approach to problem-solving and strong attention to detail when testing software or scripts.
The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical team members.
A disciplined work ethic conducive to productivity and focus in a fully remote professional setting.
Curiosity regarding the technical and operational functions of financial services and investment groups.
Basic knowledge of automation platforms or low-code tools for data exchange between software applications.
