About the Learning & Development Specialist Role

Lenovo is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position focuses on designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs to enhance workforce capabilities within Lenovo Manufacturing KSA. The role supports the entire learning lifecycle, from needs analysis to impact measurement, with a specific emphasis on manufacturing skills, onboarding, and fostering cross-cultural collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Lenovo's operations in China.

Core Responsibilities

The Learning & Development Specialist will be responsible for a range of activities to support employee development and operational readiness:

  • Conducting training needs analyses across manufacturing, operations, and support functions to identify capability gaps.
  • Designing and developing learning content, courses, and workshops aligned with business objectives and Lenovo's global standards.
  • Facilitating various training sessions, including classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training, for both technical and soft-skill development.
  • Managing onboarding and orientation programs for new hires, including trainee cohorts.
  • Supporting learning initiatives with Lenovo's China-based teams, including trainee deployments and knowledge transfer programs.
  • Developing cross-cultural resources and briefings to aid workforce integration between Saudi Arabia and China.
  • Acting as a liaison between local and global L&D stakeholders to ensure program consistency.
  • Tracking and analyzing learning metrics such as completion rates, mentor coverage, satisfaction scores, and total training hours.
  • Preparing reports and dashboards on L&D outcomes for leadership review and recommending improvements based on data and feedback.
  • Managing the Learning Management System (LMS), training records, and scheduling.
  • Coordinating with external vendors, training providers, and assessment platforms.
  • Supporting psychometric and competency assessments for candidate and talent evaluation.
  • Ensuring all programs comply with Lenovo policy, local labor regulations, and relevant KSA training mandates.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, MIS, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, or Talent Development, preferably within the manufacturing, technology, or a multinational environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and facilitating training programs from inception to completion.
  • Experience utilizing LMS platforms and working with learning analytics and reporting tools.
  • Exposure to cross-cultural or international work environments is considered an advantage.

Required Skills and Competencies

Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

  • Strong instructional design and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with English required and Arabic strongly preferred.
  • Data literacy, with the ability to translate learning metrics into clear insights.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, and other reporting tools.
  • Effective stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Cultural sensitivity and adaptability.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional qualifications that would be beneficial include:

  • Relevant certifications such as CIPD, ATD, SHRM, PHRi, or instructional design credentials.
  • Experience with psychometric assessment tools.
  • Familiarity with Saudi labor market programs, including HRDF and Saudization initiatives.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within Lenovo Manufacturing KSA and supporting cross-cultural collaboration with global teams.
