About the Role

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Life Guard to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position, suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience, focuses on ensuring the safety of swimmers, maintaining the recreation facility, and delivering exceptional guest service in accordance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize appropriate rescue techniques when swimmers require assistance.
• Monitor the swimming area for dangerous conditions, unusual activities, and struggling swimmers.
• Enforce the rules and regulations of the recreation facility.
• Identify situations where guests may be unable to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisors.
• Provide initial assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Foster a fun and relaxing atmosphere for all guests.
• Manage towels by obtaining, folding, and stacking them according to company procedures.
• Clean and maintain the pool deck through washing, mopping, and general cleaning.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests professionally, ensuring a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with others.
• Support co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.

Physical Requirements

• Move at a speed necessary to respond to work situations, including running, walking, or jogging.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

Required Qualifications

• CPR Certification.
• First Aid Certification.
• Fitness Equipment certification.
• Any additional certification or training required by local and state agencies.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• No specific related work experience is required.
• No supervisory experience is required.
