About the Role

Saudi Services For Electro Mechanic Works Co. SSEM is seeking a Local Purchaser to join its team. This full-time position is integral to the successful execution of construction and infrastructure projects, focusing on the procurement of necessary materials and services. The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with responsibilities that may extend to projects in other key cities such as Jeddah.

Role Overview

The Local Purchaser will be responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing cycle, from sourcing to delivery. This involves active engagement in vendor management, conducting market analysis to identify optimal procurement strategies, and maintaining accurate procurement documentation. The position requires a professional who can operate effectively within the demands of the EPC or construction industry, ensuring compliance and efficiency in all purchasing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and purchase materials, tools, and equipment in accordance with project specifications and requirements.
• Issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), meticulously evaluate quotations, negotiate prices, and process Purchase Orders (POs).
• Manage supplier relationships and continuously monitor vendor performance to ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, assess market trends, and uncover opportunities for cost savings.
• Coordinate closely with engineering, site, planning, and warehouse teams to ensure the timely delivery of all procured items.
• Track orders, proactively resolve any delivery-related issues, and coordinate logistics when required.
• Maintain comprehensive procurement records and ensure strict compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
• Demonstrated experience in vendor management, market analysis, and procurement documentation.
• Familiarity with the EPC or construction industry is preferred.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position primarily based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role supports projects across various locations, including Jeddah, as operational needs dictate.
