About the Role

Star is seeking an experienced and academically accomplished Male Private A-Level Teacher to provide part-time, one-to-one tuition to a student in Riyadh. This role involves delivering rigorous and highly personalized academic support in A-Level subject(s) to complement the student’s formal education and prepare them for examinations. This is a discreet private appointment requiring professionalism, flexibility, maturity, and sound judgment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality one-to-one A-Level tuition.
• Teach the relevant subject in line with the student’s examination board and school curriculum.
• Assess the student’s current academic level and identify areas requiring additional support.
• Ensure comprehensive understanding of the relevant A-Level syllabus.
• Support homework, coursework, assignments, and school assessments.
• Prepare the student effectively for A-Level examinations, utilizing past papers, mark schemes, and examiner guidance.
• Develop effective revision and independent study strategies.
• Provide targeted support in areas of weakness and challenge the student to achieve their full academic potential.
• Monitor academic progress and adapt tuition accordingly.
• Develop the student’s analytical, critical-thinking, organization, and independent learning skills.
• Communicate professionally with the family regarding academic progress and priorities.
• Coordinate with the student’s school, teachers, or other educational advisers where required.

Candidate Qualifications and Experience

• Excellent knowledge of a specialist A-Level subject.
• Strong understanding of the British education system.
• Detailed knowledge of A-Level syllabus and assessment requirements.
• Experience preparing students for external examinations and familiarity with relevant examination boards.
• Ability to use assessment data, past papers, and mark schemes effectively.
• Ability to tailor tuition to an individual student’s academic profile and learning style.
• Strong communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and appropriately challenge an A-Level student.
• Excellent organization and academic planning skills.
• Professional maturity, discretion, and sound judgment.
• Confidence working independently within a private household.

Working Arrangements and Location

This is a part-time private teaching position based in Riyadh, Riyadh Province, Saudi Arabia. Tuition will primarily be scheduled around the student’s school timetable and academic commitments. The intensity of tuition may vary, with additional support potentially required during examination periods, mock examinations, school holidays, coursework periods, or university preparation. Occasional domestic or international travel may be required to maintain continuity of the student’s education. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

All information concerning the student, family, household, academic arrangements, schedules, travel, and other private matters must remain strictly confidential. Disclosure, publication, photography, recording, or sharing of confidential information without prior permission is prohibited.
