About the Role

Team Saudi is seeking a Manager Financial Planning (SOTC) to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves managing the financial planning function for SOTC, overseeing day-to-day operations, and ensuring the delivery of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models that support strategic and operational decision-making. The Manager will lead the planning team, maintain standardized planning processes, and provide reliable analysis on budget performance, variances, and resource allocation to the Senior Manager, Financial Planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the annual budgeting cycle, including coordinating inputs, consolidating submissions, and ensuring alignment with planning guidelines and timelines.
  • Oversee periodic forecast updates, validating assumptions and clearly explaining variances against the budget.
  • Review budget proposals, challenge assumptions, and provide recommendations to optimize resource allocation.
  • Monitor adherence to budgetary ceilings and spending trajectories, escalating risks to the Senior Manager.
  • Manage the development of financial models for investment decisions, program evaluations, and scenario planning.
  • Monitor variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, identifying trends, risks, opportunities, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Consolidate financial planning data across functions, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Manage standardized planning templates, timelines, and guidance packs for consistent submissions across SOTC.
  • Prepare periodic budget performance reports and dashboards for senior leadership.
  • Identify and recommend improvements for planning tools, templates, and workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead and develop the Financial Planning team, focusing on capability building and effective workload management.
  • Coordinate with function leaders across SOTC to align budget submissions with organizational priorities and funding constraints, escalating unresolved issues.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgeting cycles, financial modeling, and forecasting processes.
  • Experience in leading and developing a financial planning team.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within a team-oriented environment, coordinating with various functional leaders across SOTC.
