The Role

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves working on a major data centre project located east of the city. The Mechanical Inspector will play a crucial role in ensuring that all mechanical works are executed to the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Role Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and monitoring mechanical installations to ensure full adherence to approved drawings, project specifications, and all relevant industry codes and standards. This role is integral to maintaining project quality and integrity throughout the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor mechanical works, including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and drainage systems.
• Verify compliance of all mechanical installations with approved drawings, specifications, and project quality standards.
• Coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, and various project teams on site.
• Review method statements, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and material submittals to ensure adherence to project requirements.
• Identify non-conformances in mechanical works and ensure the timely implementation of corrective actions.
• Prepare comprehensive inspection reports and maintain accurate site records of all mechanical activities.
• Support overall quality assurance processes and health & safety requirements throughout the project site.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role must be Saudi Nationals and possess 5-10 years of experience in mechanical inspection roles, ideally within large-scale construction projects or data centre developments. A strong technical background in mechanical systems and a thorough understanding of relevant codes and standards are essential.
