The Role of Network & Security Cloud Principal

The Network & Security Cloud Principal is responsible for the design, implementation, and protection of enterprise IT infrastructure. This role operates across complex network environments, including data centers, cloud, and hybrid platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of critical systems. The position requires deep expertise in advanced networking and enterprise security technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build Geidea networks and security infrastructure, considering bandwidth, infrastructure, and security requirements.
• Participate in the implementation of network and security designs, ensuring solutions meet specified requirements.
• Lead network and security modeling by analyzing existing network traffic and estimating future growth.
• Assess the impact of new equipment on network and security performance and provide recommendations for accurate network upgrades.
• Ensure security equipment is installed at precise network locations.
• Manage and monitor network and security systems, making necessary adjustments and minor repairs for smooth operation.
• Lead and follow up on scheduled network and security system maintenance to prevent downtime.
• Maintain proper records of designed networks, including drawings, text descriptions, and equipment configurations, to facilitate future issue resolution.
• Review and approve changes in Geidea's infrastructure from a network and security perspective.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Over 10 years of experience in network and security roles.
• Deep expertise in advanced networking technologies, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, and cloud interconnects.
• Proficiency in enterprise security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, VPN, NAC, and SIEM.
• Experience leading network optimization, security architecture design, incident response, and compliance initiatives.
• Familiarity with modern frameworks like Zero Trust, automation, and cloud-native security solutions.
