About the Role

Protiviti Middle East Member Firm is seeking an Assistant Manager for Non-Financial Risk & Operational Resilience in Riyadh. This full-time role involves working directly with clients to deliver advisory engagements focused on non-financial risk (NFR), with a core emphasis on operational resilience. The Assistant Manager will lead defined workstreams from planning through final output, applying expertise across various NFR domains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support clients in identifying and validating critical business services and operations, including engagement with service owners.
  • Facilitate client impact-tolerance workshops and assist in developing quantitative and qualitative measures for potential harm.
  • Map end-to-end business processes, dependencies, and identify vulnerabilities and concentration risks.
  • Design and execute scenario testing, tabletop exercises, and simulations using severe but plausible disruption scenarios.
  • Review and enhance clients' business impact analyses, continuity strategies, BCPs, and crisis management arrangements.
  • Lead client workstreams across NFR strategy, frameworks, policies, and procedures, including target operating model transformation.
  • Conduct current-state, maturity, and regulatory gap assessments, translating findings into practical recommendations.
  • Design and support the implementation of broader operational-risk frameworks, including risk and control identification.
  • Develop operational-risk metrics, KRIs, dashboards, and management information for informed decision-making.
  • Support clients with outsourcing and third-party risk assessments, due-diligence reviews, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Plan interviews and workshops, prepare materials, manage evidence requests, and maintain audit trails.
  • Supervise analysts and consultants, review deliverables, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Support proposals, market research, thought leadership, and development of reusable methods and tools.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Typically 4-7 years of relevant experience in non-financial risk (NFR), operational resilience, operational risk, business continuity management (BCM), crisis management, or third-party risk advisory.
  • Candidates with strong operational risk and/or BCM experience open to developing into operational resilience are encouraged to apply; role-specific training will be provided.
  • Experience in a consulting/advisory environment or a regulated financial institution is preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering at least two of the following: service identification and mapping; business process mapping; impact tolerances; scenario testing; BCM/BIA; crisis and incident management; third-party resilience; operational-risk frameworks and controls.
  • Experience leading small workstreams, coordinating client stakeholders, and reviewing junior team output.
  • Banking or financial-services experience and exposure to Saudi/GCC regulatory expectations are preferred.

The role requires strong risk domain capabilities to deliver client engagements, with an expectation of depth in operational resilience while being able to flex across broader NFR domains.
