Role Overview

Saudi Gold Refinery (SGR) is seeking an OD Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading organizational design, workforce planning, and capability development initiatives. The OD Manager will ensure that the company's structure, competencies, and performance systems support efficient gold refining, assay operations, and bullion production, driving alignment between human capital strategy and operational excellence in a regulated industrial environment. The position reports directly to the VP of HR and impacts operational continuity, Saudization compliance, and technical workforce readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and update organizational charts quarterly to align with production targets and strategic priorities.
• Conduct span of control analyses to optimize decision-making efficiency across plant and corporate functions.
• Develop and maintain competency matrices for critical technical roles, including refinery operators and assay chemists, aligning frameworks with industry standards.
• Collaborate with recruitment and operations to forecast headcount needs and develop Saudization roadmaps.
• Partner with TVTC and vocational institutes to build a sustainable pipeline of Saudi national talent for technical positions.
• Design KPI cascades that link individual goals to plant throughput, recovery rates, and safety metrics.
• Train managers on conducting objective performance reviews focused on measurable operational outcomes.
• Lead change management protocols for major initiatives such as technology upgrades or process improvements.
• Develop communication plans and training modules to ensure smooth transitions and minimal operational disruption.
• Manage job evaluation processes to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness, applying standardized methodologies to grade new and existing roles.
• Conduct annual surveys to measure employee engagement and organizational effectiveness, analyzing results to identify areas for improvement and implement targeted interventions.
• Analyze workforce data to identify trends in attrition, productivity, and skill gaps, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in Organizational Development or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in organizational design, workforce planning, and capability development.
• Familiarity with performance management system design and change management leadership.
• Experience with job evaluation and grading methodologies.
• Proficiency in HR data analytics and reporting.

Success Metrics

• Completion of organizational structure review and optimization for all key departments within 12 months.
• Implementation of technical competency matrices for 100% of critical plant and lab roles.
• Achievement of target Saudization levels for designated job families through targeted development programs.
• Launch of a new performance management cycle with clear KPIs linked to operational metrics.
• Successful management of change communications for at least two major operational or system initiatives.
• Establishment of a baseline for organizational health metrics and implementation of initial improvement actions.
