About the Offensive Cybersecurity Consultant Role

Help AG is seeking an Offensive Cybersecurity Consultant to join their team. This full-time position involves a broad spectrum of activities focused on vulnerability assessment and penetration testing. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying and reporting security weaknesses.

Key Areas of Engagement

• Conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration tests for web applications.
• Performing web application audits.
• Executing mobile application penetration tests for both iOS and Android platforms.
• Conducting source code reviews and software assurance maturity audits.
• Engaging in red teaming exercises and infrastructure security assessments.
• Performing both internal and external penetration tests.
• Undertaking vulnerability research.

Core Responsibilities

The Offensive Cybersecurity Consultant will be responsible for:

• Executing vulnerability assessment and penetration testing activities in accordance with Help AG's established methodologies and project scopes.
• Contributing to the VA and PT knowledge base by documenting new techniques, attack vectors, or zero-day findings.
• Updating the Help AG penetration testing guidelines by incorporating newly identified attacks and procedures into the methodology.
• Attending technical meetings with clients.
• Researching emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conducting security assessments independently.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should possess the following:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 0 to 1 year of experience as a penetration tester.
• Knowledge of web-based programming.
• Proficiency in technical writing, including the ability to produce articles, demonstrations, reports, and technical blogs.
• Possession of OSCP or OSCE certification.
• SANS certifications are considered optional.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, good vision, and creativity.
• Adaptability in software development, with the ability to quickly learn and apply various programming languages as needed.
• Good presentation skills.
• A fast learning aptitude and self-motivation.
• The capacity to work effectively as a team player.
