About the Role

Hastraa Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Software Tester for a full-time position within a client team in Saudi Arabia. This role requires a strong background in the payments domain, with a focus on testing payment platforms within the Saudi banking or fintech sectors. The ideal candidate will contribute to ensuring the quality and functionality of payment systems through comprehensive testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements for payment systems.
• Design test scenarios and detailed test cases based on requirements.
• Execute various testing types including Functional, Integration, System, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Validate end-to-end payment processing across multiple channels and systems.
• Test payment workflows for inbound and outbound processing.
• Perform interface testing between payment applications and integrated banking systems.
• Validate API integrations using tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Verify ISO-based payment message formats and transaction processing.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and Business Users.
• Support production deployments, validation, and issue verification.
• Participate in defect triage meetings and assist in root cause analysis.
• Ensure testing deliverables are completed within project timelines while maintaining quality standards.
• Prepare test execution reports and communicate progress to stakeholders.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

• 3–8 years of Software Testing experience.
• Strong experience in the Payments domain.
• Mandatory experience working on Saudi Banking or Saudi FinTech payment systems.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end payment lifecycle.
• Excellent payment domain analysis skills.
• Strong expertise in test scenario identification and test case design.
• Hands-on experience in:
  • Functional Testing
  • Integration Testing
  • Regression Testing
  • System Testing
  • UAT Support
• Experience testing payment interfaces and APIs.
• Strong understanding of API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of ISO-style payment messaging and transaction flows.
• Experience validating payment interfaces and system integrations.

Technical Skills and Qualifications

Essential technical skills include API Testing (Postman, Swagger), SQL Queries, Interface Testing, and experience with Test Management Tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, Zephyr, or similar) and Defect Tracking Tools. Knowledge of Payment Message Validation, Log Analysis, and Basic Database Validation is also required. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
