The QA Engineer Intern Role

QA Engineers at Tabby are integral to ensuring product quality across diverse systems and platforms. This encompasses testing user-facing applications, backend services, APIs, integrations, and internal tools. The approach to quality assurance is engineering-driven, emphasizing reliability, automation, and system-level quality. Interns are embedded into production teams and are expected to contribute to system-wide quality thinking, focusing on growth as quality engineers rather than manual testers only.

Key Responsibilities

This internship involves working on real production tasks under senior review. Responsibilities include:

• Participating in end-to-end testing of product features and system integrations.
• Performing manual testing where appropriate and automating suitable tasks.
• Contributing to automated test suites (API, integration, end-to-end).
• Assisting in the maintenance and extension of existing test frameworks and test data.
• Validating interactions between services, clients, and external systems.
• Participating in release testing and regression cycles.
• Analyzing bugs, verifying fixes, and contributing to root-cause analysis.
• Collaborating with engineers and product managers to enhance testability.

Candidate Profile and Engagement

A full-time level of engagement is expected throughout the internship.
