The Role of Rolling Stock Lead

SYSTRA is seeking an experienced Rolling Stock Lead to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading a team in delivering technical services for the installation, testing, and commissioning of rolling stock and depot equipment systems. The Lead will ensure project requirements are met within budget and align with key performance indicators, providing safe and fit-for-purpose vehicles and infrastructure. The Rolling Stock Lead reports to the Systems Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all rail systems, rail infrastructure, and rolling stock testing and commissioning activities, monitoring sub-contractors' work.
• Review and comment on testing and commissioning programs, procedures, and reports, considering operation and maintenance requirements.
• Monitor all testing activities (Type Testing, Performance Testing, Routine Testing, Dynamic Testing, and Final Testing) and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure the accuracy of work produced by designers and design & build contractors regarding system integration, test, and commissioning.
• Review system integration management activities to ensure proper integration of equipment and data.
• Coordinate and monitor rolling stock-related interfaces and integration with other disciplines (Platform Screen Doors, Signaling, SCADA, and Power Supply).
• Monitor and ensure the implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance for rolling stock and related features.
• Liaise with other disciplines and contractors to ensure proper system integration and configuration for all project aspects.
• Liaise with System Interface Managers of contractors to plan and schedule integration tests, documentation, and submission of result reports.
• Identify, initiate, and implement corrective actions and process improvement methodologies in line with cost reduction and lean organization principles.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess the following:

• Over 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated expertise in leading technical services for rolling stock and depot equipment systems.
• Ability to develop and review engineering, quality, and operational standards, specifications, procedures, and instructions for electronic rolling stock systems.
