About the Role

Imploy is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator (Manager / Advisor) to join our IT team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role combines hands-on technical system administration with leadership responsibilities, focusing on managing system operations, providing technical guidance, and overseeing infrastructure while mentoring junior team members. The position requires over 10 years of experience and offers a salary of SAR 10,000 – SAR 12,000 per month.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the reliability, security, performance, and scalability of the organization's server infrastructure, cloud environments, virtualization platforms, and critical business applications. The Systems Administrator will lead infrastructure projects and act as a key technical escalation point.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement performance optimization and capacity planning strategies.
• Manage security policies, firewalls, patch management, and vulnerability assessments, ensuring compliance with standards such as ISO 27001 and NCA requirements.
• Manage backup solutions and disaster recovery plans to support data integrity and business continuity.
• Automate system administration tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python to improve operational efficiency.
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues and provide expert technical guidance to stakeholders.
• Lead infrastructure projects from design through deployment and implementation phases.
• Mentor and support junior system administrators, review their work, and promote continuous technical development.
• Maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, performance reports, and incident reports.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in systems administration or a related IT infrastructure role.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing Windows and Linux server environments.
• Proficiency with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• Experience with cloud environments, including AWS and Azure.
• Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, and patch management.
• Familiarity with compliance standards like ISO 27001 and NCA requirements.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation.
• Proven ability to lead projects and provide technical mentorship.

Work Environment and Compensation

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role offers an opportunity to combine technical expertise with managerial and advisory responsibilities within the IT team. The salary for this position ranges from SAR 10,000 to SAR 12,000 per month.
