Bechtel Corporation, with over 80 years of experience in complex airport projects globally, is providing project management consultancy services for the development of King Salman International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is based in Riyadh and supports a significant expansion project designed to accommodate up to 120 million travelers by 2030 and 185 million by 2050, alongside processing million tons of cargo by 2050. The project includes three new terminals: Terminal 6, an Iconic Terminal, and a Private Aviation Terminal.

Role Summary

The Security/Access Control Manager will be responsible for supervising and managing the design work of the customer's designers and contractors for the airport terminal buildings' Security and Access Control systems. This includes access control, intruder detection, surveillance, and operational control center systems, as well as managing the terminal buildings' key suiting program. The role involves preparing estimates, work plans, and progress reports, and assisting with tender processes, evaluations, and award recommendations for system contractors. Coordination with various project teams such as Terminal Delivery, Stakeholder Management, Contracts & Procurement, and Start-up/Commissioning is essential to ensure project requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the design delivery for terminal buildings' Security and Access Control systems by customer's designers and contractors.
• Review technical submissions from designers and contractors related to Security and Access Control systems.
• Support Contracts & Procurement in preparing design documentation for procurement, post-tender technical evaluations, and award recommendations.
• Monitor and report on the progress and performance of designers and contractors.
• Coordinate with the Stakeholder Management team to ensure timely acquisition of permits and approvals.
• Support Construction & Quality teams during the execution of works, including resolving RFIs, field change requests, non-conformance reports, and work inspection requests.
• Support vendor factory testing and inspections for Security and Access Control systems.
• Assist the Start-Up/Commissioning team from the outset to integrate start-up, commissioning, and handover requirements into the design process, and support testing activities during execution.
• Coordinate Security and Access Control systems design with other project disciplines and review relevant project documentation.
• Coordinate the integration of Security and Access Control systems design across multiple contracts, work packages, and stakeholders.
• Liaise with customer representatives as the subject matter expert for Security and Access Control systems engineering documentation.
• Conduct audits, prepare reports, and present findings on compliance with engineering processes and policies.
• Support the production of verification packages for the turnover of completed Security and Access Control systems and facilities.

Required Experience

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in security and access control systems management, preferably within large-scale infrastructure or airport projects.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, supporting the King Salman International Airport development project.
