Security Operations Center Analyst

About the Role

Accelerec is seeking a Security Operations Center Analyst to join its cybersecurity team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a contract position for an individual with 2-5 years of experience in cybersecurity. The role involves safeguarding digital assets and responding to security threats within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic and security alerts using SIEM platforms to identify potential threats and anomalies.
• Analyze security incidents, logs, and events to determine root causes and assess impact scope.
• Execute incident response procedures for identified security breaches, including containment and remediation.
• Conduct initial threat detection and analysis utilizing various security tools and techniques, including malware and packet analysis.
• Perform vulnerability assessments on network devices and endpoints to identify potential weaknesses.
• Contribute to security awareness initiatives by identifying trends and potential user-related vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with senior security analysts and other IT teams to resolve security incidents.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant cybersecurity role.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in identifying and responding to security threats.
• Proficiency with SIEM platforms and security analysis tools.
