About Unifonic and the Senior Compliance Specialist Role

Unifonic is an AI-native customer experience platform purpose-built for emerging markets. With over 25 years of conversational AI research and development, we serve more than 5,000 enterprises across MENA and are pioneering sovereign, agentic AI through our Agentic Studio platform. We are seeking a Senior Compliance Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, working full-time to manage and enhance the company's compliance function.

The Compliance Function at Unifonic

The Compliance team at Unifonic is responsible for managing and enhancing the overall Compliance function. This role focuses on all compliance affairs of the company, with the objective of anticipating potential issues and developing proactive, practical solutions that support business operations. The perception of Unifonic by buyers, analysts, media, and the broader market is a strategic asset, and this role is key to owning that perception through robust compliance practices.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the organization maintains an engagement framework with the regulator (CST).
Collaborate with management and staff to identify and manage regulatory compliance risks.
Maintain open communication with relevant decision-makers and stakeholders regarding regulatory communications and their impact.
Organize regular training sessions for employees to communicate key regulatory changes and updates effectively.
Support the creation and implementation of organizational policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Research industry compliance regulations and policies.
Evaluate internal operational and procedural compliance.
Maintain internal regulatory compliance by communicating requirements, obtaining necessary approvals, and training stakeholders.
Apply for compliance certifications and regulatory approvals.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance recordkeeping system.
Maintain communication with compliance regulators and follow up on applications.
Stay informed about compliance requirements and amendments to regulations.
Identify roadblocks in compliance processes and propose improvements.
Maintain a compliance communication register and related documentation.
Create and manage action plans in response to regulatory compliance audit discoveries and violations.
Remediate regulatory audits and periodic reviews, compiling identified gaps and action plans.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Senior Compliance Specialist position should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in compliance or a related field. The role requires a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement, and the ability to develop and implement compliance policies and procedures effectively.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in our Riyadh office, within the Riyadh Province. The role operates within a dynamic team focused on maintaining high standards of regulatory adherence across the organization.
