DAR AL OMRAN is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its engineering team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position focused on leading electrical design projects within a dynamic environment.

The Role of Senior Electrical Engineer

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading the electrical design process for various construction and infrastructure projects. This role involves ensuring designs comply with industry standards, delivering innovative solutions that meet client requirements, and actively contributing to departmental development. The successful candidate will also supervise team members and manage project-related tasks from concept through detailed design.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design process for diverse engineering projects, from initial concept to detailed design.
• Generate concepts and designs that meet client requirements and build upon existing data.
• Provide value engineering for designs to optimize drawings and reduce costs.
• Supervise the design team, distribute tasks, and provide clear deliverables and direction.
• Manage team performance through regular reviews and feedback, and offer technical assistance to enhance work quality and efficiency.
• Study and review relevant tender documents prior to design preparation and planning.
• Understand client requirements for assigned tasks and execute them according to established design standards.
• Consider implications related to cost, safety, and time constraints during the design process.

Project Coordination and Documentation

• Participate in coordination meetings with clients and other disciplines, communicating updates to the Line Manager or Project Manager.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and relevant functions to ensure the validity and integration of work.
• Gather all required information for the preparation of presentations, drawings, and documents.
• Communicate with design team members to clarify drawing details and discuss modifications.
• Prepare reports related to departmental activities for client presentation and manage filing activities for correspondences.
• Prepare progress reports, work schedule updates, and minutes of meetings as necessary.
• Prepare replies to project-related correspondences in coordination with project management.
• Follow up on financial issues related to projects with the Project Managers and the finance department.
• Actively contribute to the continuous development of the section and department, providing input to the Department Action Plan.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of experience in electrical engineering design, particularly within construction projects and infrastructure. Professional proficiency in design processes is essential for this role.
