About the Role: Senior Field Manager - Medical Affairs

Novo Nordisk is seeking a Senior Field Manager - Medical Affairs to lead a team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves connecting scientific evidence with clinical practice to advance cardiometabolic care. The position requires 0-1 years of experience.

Departmental Context

This role is within International Operations, Novo Nordisk's largest operational unit, which serves 35 million patients daily across 194 countries. The Medical Affairs Cardiometabolic team within this unit focuses on bridging clinical science with real-world healthcare decision-making. The team works to demonstrate the clinical outcomes and benefits of the cardiometabolic portfolio to various stakeholders, including thought leaders, medical groups, health systems, and government agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of medical affairs professionals, setting objectives and translating departmental strategy into operational priorities.
• Guide the team in providing medical education to healthcare professionals through scientific meetings, symposia, continuing education workshops, and tailored programs.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key opinion leaders, clinical professors, teaching-hospital faculty, government agencies, health systems, and healthcare professional associations.
• Drive the scientific communication strategy across clinical trial phases, including input to clinical trials, real-world evidence plans, and identifying potential clinical trial sites.
• Define and execute publication strategies, integrate patient perspectives through advisory boards, and coordinate scientific recruitment and retention activities.
• Provide internal medical guidance through training programs and ensure the organization has accurate, up-to-date medical information on marketed products.
• Offer coaching and guidance to field medical employees to ensure effective scientific engagement.
• Lead the field medical team to achieve their Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
