Role Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly experienced Senior Interface and Integration Manager to lead the coordination, resolution, and governance of all internal and external interfaces for the Saudi Arabia Railway project. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing interface matrices, registers, and coordination workflows across the project to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

Interface Strategy and Governance

The role involves establishing and maintaining robust interface management frameworks and ensuring their effective implementation across the project. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining the Interface and Integration Management Plan in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Implementing interface protocols, workflows, and escalation procedures across all project packages.
• Ensuring interface activities are aligned with programme milestones, risk registers, and design deliverables.

Coordination and Collaboration

This position requires extensive coordination with various internal and external stakeholders to manage and resolve interfaces effectively throughout the project lifecycle:

• Managing and updating the Interface Responsibility Matrix (IRM), Interface Scope Matrix, and Interface Register.
• Identifying, tracking, and resolving strategic, technical, internal, and detailed interfaces across all project components.
• Working with the Stakeholder Manager to resolve external interfaces.
• Coordinating with contractors to ensure timely submission and approval of interface-related design inputs, installation provisions, and testing protocols.
• Collaborating closely with the client to ensure interface dependencies are accurately reflected in the master schedule and resolved promptly.
• Working with Technical Delivery teams to achieve physical and systems integration on-site.
• Supporting commissioning and handover readiness by verifying the completion of all interface-related provisions.
• Liaising with Client, PMC, contractors, and third-party stakeholders to ensure alignment on interface requirements.
• Facilitating interface coordination meetings and workshops across various disciplines.
• Maintaining strong working relationships and ensuring timely resolution of interface issues.

Risk and Change Management

The Senior Interface and Integration Manager will play a crucial role in proactively managing interface-related risks and changes:

• Identifying interface-related risks and contributing to comprehensive mitigation planning.
• Supporting the Risk Manager in integrating interface risks into the project's Risk Register and reports.
• Tracking changes to interface responsibilities and ensuring strict contractual compliance.

Candidate Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following educational and experience requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in interface and integration management for large-scale infrastructure projects.
• At least 5 years of this experience must be specifically within rail or major infrastructure programmes.

Key Skills and Expertise

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential skills and knowledge:

• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary coordination across civil, systems, MEP, architectural, and operational packages.
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabia infrastructure delivery frameworks and Rail standards.
• Strong knowledge of interface management tools, workflows, and technical coordination.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
