About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves designing functional, sustainable, and visually appealing outdoor spaces for highways, urban roads, and various infrastructure developments. The successful candidate will bring 5-10 years of experience to contribute to projects that enhance public spaces.

Role Purpose and Contribution

The Senior Landscape Architect blends environmental planning, aesthetic design, and engineering coordination to deliver infrastructure projects that are safe, efficient, and attractive. This position is central to integrating natural and built environments, ensuring that landscape elements align with broader urban planning and environmental objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site analysis, including terrain, soil, climate, and environmental impact assessments.
• Design comprehensive landscaping plans for highways, medians, sidewalks, and adjoining green spaces.
• Develop drainage, erosion control, and planting schemes tailored to infrastructure needs.
• Ensure all designs comply with safety standards, urban planning guidelines, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with civil engineers, architects, and contractors to integrate landscape elements seamlessly.
• Prepare detailed drawings, 3D models, and comprehensive construction documentation.
• Supervise on-site landscaping activities, including planting, paving, and the installation of street furniture.
• Monitor project budgets, timelines, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Select native and drought-resistant plant species to optimize sustainability and reduce maintenance costs.
• Incorporate noise barriers, green buffers, and pedestrian-friendly zones into designs.
• Enhance the visual appeal of roads through strategic use of greenery, lighting, and material selection.

Required Experience

Candidates for this Senior Landscape Architect position should possess 5 to 10 years of professional experience in landscape architecture, specifically within infrastructure or urban development projects. A proven track record in designing and overseeing the implementation of outdoor spaces for public infrastructure is essential.
